Review Process
The purpose of this page
At Crypto-Casinos.com, we do not recommend every crypto casino solely because it accepts cryptocurrency.
Our process distinguishes genuine quality from marketing hype. We assess operators on licensing, player protection, operational quality, game integrity, and the authenticity of their use of blockchain.
This page describes our review principles, evaluation criteria, and decision-making process.
Our goal is to deliver transparent, evidence-based assessments grounded in real testing, research, and industry experience.
What “crypto casino” means to us
We review operators that meaningfully use cryptocurrency or blockchain technology in their products and services.
This includes:
- Crypto casinos accepting cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, and other digital assets
- Crypto sportsbooks and betting platforms
- Crypto-native gambling products
- On-chain, DeFi, or smart contract-based gambling applications
- Hybrid operators that combine cryptocurrency payments with traditional gambling infrastructure
We generally exclude traditional online casinos that offer minimal or no meaningful cryptocurrency features.
Throughout the site, “crypto casino” refers broadly to sportsbooks, poker rooms, crash games, dice sites, and other gambling products within our scope.
Our Evaluation Criteria
We evaluate each operator across six key areas.
1. Licensing and Legal Standing
We verify licensing information, ownership transparency, jurisdictional restrictions, and publicly available regulatory information.
We favor operators who are transparent about their identity, licensing, and customer eligibility.
2. Web3 Authenticity Check
This aspect separates real crypto/web3 operators from empty marketing, making it a key focus of our review.
A number of operators call themselves “crypto casinos” and/or claim to be Web3-focused, but don’t actually deliver on those claims. We assess whether their framework and technology support their marketing claims.
This includes areas such as:
- Cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals
- On-chain functionality
- Custody models
- Smart contracts
- Provably fair gaming systems, where the players can verify the game outcomes themselves
- Asset handling and conversion practices
- KYC and identity verification transparency
We do not penalize hybrid business models, but we consider misleading marketing and misrepresentation to be serious concerns.
3. Terms and player protection
We review terms and conditions, bonus rules, withdrawal policies, account verification procedures, dispute processes, and overall fairness.
Transparency, clarity, and fair treatment of players are our priorities.
4. Responsible gambling
We evaluate the availability and effectiveness of responsible gambling tools, including deposit limits, self-exclusion measures, reality checks, and access to support resources.
A lack of responsible gambling protections may result in a negative verdict.
5. Operational quality
We assess factors such as:
- Customer support quality
- Withdrawal reliability
- Payment processing
- Site stability
- Mobile usability
- General player experience
A casino must function reliably to earn our recommendation.
6. Game integrity
Where applicable, we evaluate:
- Provably fair systems
- Game providers
- RTP transparency
- Smart contract verification
- Independent audits
Operators who claim fairness and transparency must be able to substantiate those claims.
The Web3 authenticity check
The Web3 Authenticity Check distinguishes genuine blockchain adoption from marketing buzzwords.
Many crypto casinos operate honestly as traditional gambling businesses that happen to accept cryptocurrency. There is nothing inherently wrong with that model.
Problems arise when operators market themselves as decentralized, on-chain, non-custodial, provably fair, or Web3-native, yet fail to deliver these features.
As part of our review process, we may verify whether:
- Deposits and withdrawals genuinely occur on-chain
- Custody arrangements match public claims
- Provably fair systems work as advertised
- Smart contracts exist, are verifiable, and have been audited
- Cryptocurrency conversions are transparent
- KYC requirements are clearly disclosed before users deposit funds
If we find meaningful discrepancies between marketing claims and actual implementation, we document them in the review.
How we test
Our reviews rely on hands-on testing, research, and verification rather than only on marketing materials.
As part of our review process, we test areas such as:
- Account registration and onboarding
- Deposits and withdrawals
- Payment methods and supported cryptocurrencies
- Customer support responsiveness
- Terms and conditions
- Licensing and regulatory information
- User experience across desktop and mobile devices
- Blockchain-related features and functionality if and where relevant
We believe meaningful reviews require direct interaction with the product. Our assessments are based on hands-on testing whenever platform access is available.
If we cannot test a specific feature, payment method, jurisdiction, or user interaction, we clearly disclose this in the review so readers know what was and was not independently verified.
The verdict system
We use two primary verdicts.
Trusted
Trusted indicates an operator satisfies our standards in the areas outlined above.
A Trusted verdict does not mean an operator is perfect, suitable for every player, or guaranteed to remain trusted. It means that, based on available information at the time of review, the operator complies with our standards for transparency, reliability, and player experience.
Not Recommended
Not Recommended means an operator fails one or more of our criteria in a way we consider significant for readers.
Common reasons include:
- Misleading Web3 or crypto-related claims
- Unfair or unclear terms
- Weak player protection measures
- Poor operational performance
- Lack of transparency
- Serious unresolved concerns affecting player trust
When appropriate, we explain the reasons for a “Not Recommended” verdict and identify issues that must be addressed for reconsideration.

How often do we re-review
The crypto gambling industry changes rapidly.

Right of reply
We welcome factual corrections and feedback from both readers and operators.
If an operator believes a review contains inaccurate information, they may contact us to request a correction. Verified factual errors will be corrected as quickly as possible.
Correcting factual errors does not guarantee a change in verdict. Editorial assessments remain independent.
What we don’t do
When we create reviews and other types of content on Crypto-Casinos.com, we won’t ever:
- Accept payment for positive verdicts, rankings, or editorial coverage.
- Remove negative findings in exchange for commercial consideration.
- Publish “guaranteed win” strategies, gambling systems, or misleading profit claims.
- Encourage gambling as a way to generate income.
- Knowingly market gambling services to minors or vulnerable individuals.
